Ephesians 2:4 AMP
But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us,
Dr Barth, a German theologian was asked “what is the single most important truth you have learned as a theologian?” Dr Barth’s answer was “Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so.”
Someone may say, “I should also feel it if God loves me.” Yes your senses can feel the love of God but you can’t just rely on your feelings, your feelings changes from time to time. But if you believe God loves you because the Word of God says so, then you know God’s word never changes, He is bound by His word. If He says he loves you, then he loves you regardless of how you feel or what you go through.
His love touches every part of our life. Nothing – no calling or circumstance, no adversity or advancement, no pain or promotion, no status or station – escapes the brush strokes of God’s love. God’s love bleeds into every fabric and fiber of our lives. When God says I love you, He is saying that you matter to Him. You are a person of worth. You are valuable to Him. Regardless of what you or others think, in his eyes you are wonderful.
You must let this keep sinking in your heart, forgetting the feelings and believing the Word of God. I’M LOVED. And if you are still not sure enough then Paul pray this prayer for us; “And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the GREAT MAGNITUDE of the ASTONISHING LOVE OF CHRIST in all its dimensions. HOW DEEPLY INTIMATE and FAR-REACHING IS HIS LOVE! How enduring and inclusive it is! ENDLESS LOVE BEYOND MEASUREMENT that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
