Intimacy, the heart of Faith

The rarest treasures of life are found in his truth. That’s why I prize God’s word like others prize the finest gold. Nothing brings the soul such sweetness as seeking his living words.
Intimacy with God produces identity, and identity produces faith. Without the revelation of our identity as children of God, it is impossible to operate in a greater measure of faith. Our faith in Jesus grafts us into the vine and reroutes us into His bloodline. In John 8:28 Jesus says, “I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught me.” The Father doesn’t share secrets with just anybody. The Father shares hidden things in His heart with His sons and daughters.
The Psalmist spoke of the fact that he has made the word of God his finest treasure and that His teaching makes His heart glad and a sweetness to His soul. Now try to answer this, What’s entering your ear gates, eye gates, and heart gate? What’s feeding your spirit? Pause and think about it. The nourishment of your spirit comes through relationship and intimacy with the Father. Unfortunately, many have replaced His voice with outdated, fake, empty sources; TV shows, music and even friends you hang out with.
We must understand that we become what we expose ourselves to. And if we get intimate with things that are not well of, we are responsible for the confusion in our identity. Don’t let other voices tell you who you are or the direction you should go. Quiet all the noise and listen to His voice. Concentrate your eyes, ears, and heart on who and what you are in Christ. You are a child of the living God, blessed beyond measure, redeemed, a new creature in Christ Jesus.
Your faith will grow to new dimensions as you live from your identity in Christ and abide in intimacy with the Father.

I’m a child of God
I abide in intimacy with my Father
And I walk by Faith daily
