The Best Meal Ever
Jeremiah 15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
I once saw a french proverb that says that, “A good meal ought to begin with hunger.” You will agree with me that it is hard to enjoy a meal when you are not hungry.
The word of God is not like the words of men. Jeremiah said when he found the word, he ate them and it became to him a joy and the delight of his heart. Jesus said the words He speaks “they are life and they are Spirit.” It is crucial that we don’t just stay at the aroma level of the word which is just glancing through the Bible. It is time to eat it and enjoy the nourishment there in.
The word of God is the best meal ever that satisfy the longing of your Spirit and soul. In the words of Witness Lee, he said “God’s intention is to impart Himself to us and work Himself into us. He does this by means of the Spirit as the “antenna” and the Bible as the ground wire. It is by these means, the heavenly riches are transmitted into us.”
The word of God is the only meal that quenches our spiritual hunger. So feed in it!
