Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
I found out that it is always easy to express our thanks to God on the heels of victory or after receiving a miraculous breakthrough. But when it comes to times of distress and difficulty we find it hard to rejoice and offer our thanks to Him.
It’s worthy to note that the book of Phillipians was written by Paul at a time he was in prison and facing very uncertain future. In this book alone there are good number of times that the word related to joy was mentioned. Yet Paul looked beyond his current situation and instructed the Church to rejoice.
We must understand that there is always something to celebrate even in the most difficult trials. Hence, the more one voices his or her gratitude to God the more we experience His overwhelming presence that He is right there with us. Paul says, Rejoice, again I say Rejoice.
CONFESSION
I am not weighed down by circumstances
I rejoice always!
Amen!
